The New York University Grossman School of Medicine World Trade Center Health Program Clinical Center of Excellence (NYUGSOM WTCHP CCE) is one of seven centers established by the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010 to care for 9/11 first responders. 

Overview of Licensed Clinical Social Worker Position

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a full-time licensed clinical social worker. This is a unique opportunity to work on a multi-interdisciplinary level delivering care to program members. The individual will provide evidence-based individual and group treatment to adult World Trade Center responders, participate in members annual medical monitoring exams, coordinate social works services, assist with outreach & retention, and engage in other related duties.

Job Responsibilities:

Formulates, develops, and implements a comprehensive psychosocial treatment plan utilizing appropriate clinical social work treatments and interventions. Documents assessment, plan, interactions, and interventions according to departmental and institutional guidelines and standardsAdministering semi-structured clinical interviews for diagnostic and research purposesAdministering program questionnaires to participants in the programAssists in ensuring that patients receive services in accordance with program guidelinesCoordinates interdisciplinary information and recommendations into social work treatment planDocuments all social work activities in a timely manner according to departmental protocolsCrisis intervention and follow-upsParticipates in teaching psychosocial issues related to health and illness, community resources and social work servicesProviding program benefits education, application, VCFPatient Care Coordination and case managementAssist with member services, outreach & retention activitiesOther duties as assigned         

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a Master's Degree in Social Work with a minimum of three years of experience and valid New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license
Strong working knowledge of clinical social work practice, relevant medical and/or legal issues that impact patient care, and medical center resources to access and provide for patient care needs
Experience in community health outreach
Excellent Oral and Written Communications Skills
Able to Work Independently.

 

Required Licenses: Lic Clinical Social Worker

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with the WTC responder population
Clinical experience in health psychology
Social work in a health care setting
Experience with unions or community-based campaigns
Familiarity with occupational health/or public health programs

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,931.00 - $76,320.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
