The Collaborative: A Healing Centered Community at University of Maryland, Baltimore has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, caring, and team-oriented Social Worker (licensed LMSW at minimum) or Senior Social Worker (one-year post-licensure LCSW or LCSW-C experience). The selected candidate will apply specialized and theoretical knowledge, principles, and concepts to resolve issues and significant matters on behalf of management. The Social Worker will contribute to the development and evaluation of the goals and objectives of the program. The candidate will create solutions to ensure legal and policy compliance. This position will report to the Community Program Director. This is a full-time, contractual position.
The mission of The Collaborative is to prevent, intervene, and heal from trauma and violence in all forms. We accomplish our mission through partnerships between grassroots, non-profits, city agencies, and institutes of higher education by engaging in service provision, education, and research.

PRIMARY DUTIES - SOCIAL WORKER
Social Worker works under the supervision of a Social Worker (LCSW-C) and applies the theories, knowledge, procedures, methods, and/or ethics derived from a formal educational program in social work to restore or enhance social functioning of individuals, couples, families, groups, organizations or communities through assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and advocacy to maximize the individual’s well-being.Assess risk by screening and interviewing clients. Identify and construct service plans that best meet the client’s needs and determine best resources available.Develop plans by identifying programs and services available for a variety client issue dealing with challenges, change, and crisis.Maintain case history records and document client(s) progress. May perform chart reviews and generates notes on evaluations, reports and other accountability measures.Counsel individuals, groups, families, or communities regarding issues including mental health, poverty, unemployment, substance abuse, physical abuse, rehabilitation, social adjustment, childcare, and/or medical care in accordance with licensure.Provide training, guidance, and support to others preparing for use of resources.Performs other duties as assigned.PRIMARY DUTIES - SENIOR SOCIAL WORKER

Identify and construct service plans that best meet the client's needs, and determine best resources available.Develop plans by identifying programs and services available for a variety client issues dealing with challenges, change, and crisis. May have responsibility for program elements.Maintain case history records and document client(s) progress. May perform chart reviews and generates notes on evaluations, therapy sessions, reports and other accountability measures.Counsel individuals, groups, families, or communities regarding issues including mental health, poverty, unemployment, substance abuse, physical abuse, rehabilitation, social adjustment, child care, and/or medical care in accordance with licensure.Provide training, guidance, and support to others preparing for use of resources.May supervise other social workers, interns, students, or employees in accordance with licensure.Assist in development of policies, protocols, or procedures as requested.May review and provide submission of authorized documentation for reimbursement.Performs other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SOCIAL WORKER
