Northrop Grumman’s Corporate Office is seeking a Principal Software Application Administrator/Analyst to support several advanced classified programs at the Melbourne campus. This role involves deploying, researching, supporting, customizing, and maintaining a suite of commercial and open-source applications. This role will also focus heavily on improving operational efficiencies and lead the customer-facing segment of the Atlassian team.

This requisition may be filled at a level 3 and located in Melbourne, Florida.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Configure, deploy, and administer commercial and open source software

Maintain strong expertise and knowledge of current and emerging technologies and products.

Provide best practice, recommendations, and guidance to manage SSLM operations at scale

Ability to implement configuration management solutions

Scripting for DevOps processes

Server Configuration

CI/CD Automation

Docker/OpenShift/Kubernetes container deployment

Basic Qualifications:

Nine (9) years of experience with no degree; a Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM discipline with five (5) years of experience; a Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM discipline with three (3) years of experience

Demonstrated experience with both Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems

Experience utilizing Internet Information Services (IIS) or Apache

Experience as an Atlassian App (front-end) or System (server-side) Administrator

Excellent communication skills and experience in a customer-facing position

Active DoD Secret security clearance and ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)

Possess a DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher or obtain in 90 days from hire

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent troubleshooting skills

MECM (previously SCCM) experience highly desired

Experience creating and deploying software packages

Load Balancers: Apache, HA Proxy experience desired

Exposure to web-based software development or operations

Exposure to Cloud technologies

Experience as a user of the Atlassian tool suite

Have a broad understanding of development, web operations, SDLC, and other IT functions

Scripting languages: Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript

Experience with Postgres and MS SQL Server desired

Experience with VDI and Appstack Creation desired

Ability to work well in a team environment

Demonstrated project management skills

Demonstrated experience interfacing with executive leadership

Salary Range: $92,600.00 - $139,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
