Software Application Engr V
Description Job Description We are seeking an experienced Software Application Engineer V to lead business programming applications in finance, human resources, and marketing. This role involves conducting feasibility studies for new applications, updating current systems, estimating development costs, managing budgets, and preparing project proposals. The ideal candidate will establish programming standards, review current applications, and make recommendations for improvement. Additionally, this role includes selecting, developing, and evaluating team members to optimize department performance. Responsibilities + Design and implement system requirements for complex customer systems, including performing analyses of existing systems and driving strategic technical direction. + Prepare, present, and oversee major project initiatives, including following up to ensure objectives are met. + Act as a key resource in resolving project-related challenges and recommending improvements to policies or processes. + Independently handle complex problems by developing innovative methods and evaluation criteria. + Regularly liaise with senior management and executives, influencing decisions across multiple functional areas. Scope of Role This position requires expertise in both technical and project management skills, often coordinating large teams to align hardware, software, and communication solutions. While working independently, you will make crucial decisions that could impact project outcomes and client relationships. Requirements Required Skills & Qualifications + Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; an advanced technical degree is preferred. + Experience: 10+ years in a related role, with a minimum of 7 years in specialized areas. + .Net experience is a must have + Technical mastery in advanced programming languages, troubleshooting, system design, and configuration. + Strong communication skills and proficiency in computer applications, with the ability to guide non-exempt staff in technical matters.
