Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a highly technically skilled Software Architect to provide management and support to our current  company-wide Configuration Management System. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting Configuration Management, Asset Management and Requirements Management activities. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.

Primary Role Responsibilities:

Maintain current automated solutions within the company-wide CM system on assigned project(s).  Provide maintenance and development support, develop custom integrations with the IBM Rational tools using IBM Cloud Services.Development of mobile applications integrated with IBM products to provide custom solutions for users with specific tasks such as working in the field including functional testing, performance testing and security testing.Providing traceability Reports, including interactive dashboards using  Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Copilot Studio.Programming in server-side programming languages including  Python, Go, Java, Ruby as well as database languages, SQL. Building and supporting scalable APIs, services and applications.  Managing server-side MVC frameworks.  Maintain and develop Web Forms for project teams’ use such as for field auditing, functional auditing, data input from field, etc.Algorithm building using AI Machine Learning. Work with Node.js, React, TypeScript and JavaScript.  IBM Jazz Java Server API, Client API and ClearQuest API.Working with Parsons’ IT to ensure that the infrastructure is in place to successfully support the CM system implementations.Mentor and train CM team as appropriate to provide backup support for critical implementations. Provide CM implementation training as required for project teams.

In Summary:

Gather requirements, design and develop the software system, program, test, validate and maintain proper documentation.Use reporting tools to generate reports as required by end users and automate them using programming methodologies and scripting.Develop a full stack software (web and mobile app) to capture incoming data from external source. Provide an interface for internal staff to create/modify/delete data and integrate data visualization tool to allow upper management to view, generate & schedule reports.Evaluate and configure the minimum-security requirements for the Linux systems in testing and production environments.Create database schemas as per the requirements and perform database queries.

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience7+ years of experience in software development5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Desired Technical Skill/Language Requirements:

Python, Go, Java, Ruby) as well as database languages, SQL, scalable APIs, services and applicationsGraphQL, VUE Django, .NET, Spring, Rails, Phoenix, Node.js, React, TypeScript/JavaScript, AI Machine Learning AWS, specifically with Serverless services such as API Gateway, Lambda, etc.Java 8, 17 and 22 Professional development over spring boot 3.0Experience with SOAP and REST, IBM Jazz, IBM Rational Publishing Engine (RPE), IBM Rational Team Concert, IBM ClearQuest, Eclipse IDE, and/or Crystal Reports

Salary Range: 

$96,400.00 - $182,400.00
