Job Overview: As a Cloud Technical Architect at Dayton Freight Lines, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing our cloud infrastructure to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise and leadership to drive the adoption of cloud technologies and best practices.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
Design, plan, and implement cloud solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements.Architect and deploy cloud infrastructure using industry best practices to ensure scalability, performance, and security.Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications in the cloud environment.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, assisting in their skill development and growth.Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and make recommendations for their adoption based on business needs.Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and cost savings within the cloud infrastructure.Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulatory requirements.Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide timely resolutions.Document architectural designs, guidelines, and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.Proven experience as a Cloud Architect, Solutions Architect, or similar role.In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.In-depth knowledge of containerized .NET Core applications (preferred).In-depth knowledge of message brokers such as Apache Kafka.Hands-on experience with cloud services like Kubernetes, containerization, serverless computing, and databases.Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect are a plus.
