Software Assurance Manager (BT-25010)

The Software Assurance Manager will support the SMAS contract in Huntsville, AL.\n
\n

RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nMaintain appropriate staff levels to ensure successful execution of task orders.\nSupport estimating of software assurance work for new and updated task orders.\nInitiate and support process initiatives to improve team effectiveness.\nMaintain strong customer and team member relationships to encourage productive collaboration.\nManage the annual performance review process.\nEnsure adherence to common organizational processes (leave requests, time charges).\nManage task order execution and budget constraints as applicable to software team.\nOther duties as assigned. \n\n

REQUIRED:\n

\n\nThis position requires US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information.\nMust have a bachelor's degree in the field of software engineering or aerospace engineering, or a related field.\nMust have 20+ Years of recent and related work experience.\nProven leadership experience.\nDemonstrated software experience through all lifecycle phases. \nExperience with mission assurance functions within NASA. \nStrong knowledge of NASA NPR 7150.2 and CMMI Level 2 and 3 capability and practice areas.\n\n
\n

DESIRED:\n\nSoftware safety or system safety familiarity.\nCMMI or other auditing certification.\n\n
\n

WORK LOCATION: \n\nThis position is located onsite. \nThis position offers a 9\/80 schedule, every other Friday off. \nThis position may require some travel. \n\n
\n

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED:\n

DRUG AND ALCOHOL SCREENING REQUIRED:\n

All Bastion employees must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen; some contracts require participation in periodic random drug and alcohol screening programs.\n

STANDARD BASTION REQUIREMENTS:\n\nMust have experience with Microsoft Office Suite.\nAll of Bastion's employees must be team players. \nAble to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers.\nAble to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.\nMust have a strong work ethic and must be safety culture oriented.\nMust be organized with good time management skills.\nGenerally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.\nWork may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). \nMay require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).\nRegular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.\nAbility to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.\n\n
