CTG is seeking to fill a Software Automation Developer position for our client in Austin, TX. Location: Austin, TX Onsite Duration: 12 months Duties: Develop, test, and integrate custom playbooks and data to enhance cybersecurity mission sets. Work with cloud-native systems, focusing on custom automations, API integrations, and improving security incident response. Collaborate closely with CSIRT (Cyber Security Incident Response Team) and other cybersecurity teams for requirement gathering, feedback solicitation, and training on developed applications. Actively participate in Agile development sprints, collaborating with developers, project managers, program managers, and leadership to meet stakeholder objectives. Take ownership of use cases from requirements to deployment and post-deployment. Implement secure coding practices and adhere to industry standards to ensure high-quality software development. Skills: Expertise in developing software for complex, distributed systems. Strong experience with data networking protocols and cloud-native software development tools such as Docker, CI/CD pipelines, vulnerability scanning tools, GitHub. Proficient in production-level software development using Python, shell scripting, and TypeScript. Experience in developing applications that integrate with APIs. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively work in a globally distributed team. Knowledge of Linux and cloud-native software development. Experience: 3+ years of software development experience in cloud-native or system programming environments. At least 3 years of experience in writing software for services available in cloud environments (24x7). 3+ years of experience in writing production-level software in Python, shell scripting, and integrating APIs. 2+ years of experience with software requirements gathering. 3+ years of experience with cloud-native development tools and agile environments (Docker, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub). Preferred Experience: 3+ years of experience writing software in TypeScript. Familiarity with IBM QSOAR or QRadar. Cybersecurity certifications (nice to have). Cloud certifications (IBM, AWS, GCP, Azure) are a plus. Experience with Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift, and cloud architectures (web apps, big data). Education: Required: Technical certification/degree. Preferred: BS in Computer Science or related field. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
