Job Description
We are looking for a Vehicle Software Integration Engineer to work within our Autonomous Truck Group to help verify the truck build and maintain the software versions of the ECUs. You will be working with a prototype fleet of autonomous semi-trucks and will lead the build of these vehicles.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain vehicle software according to product Validation Autonomous Group requirements.Perform procedural root cause analysis of any issues seen in the truck.Obtain and analyze data logs from the truck to identify potential triggers for faults.Collaborate with Mechatronics and software teams to resolve issues.Serve as the point person for multiple trucks during drive testing.Create and update the Troubleshooting guide based on root cause analysis activities.Provide lessons learned to suggest improvements for future operations.Collect and provide metrics to track the effectiveness of the trucks.Essential Skills1+ years of System Engineering experience including system integration and testing with Automotive ECUs.1+ years of Automotive Software experience including calibration development, controls development, and test case development.Hands-on vehicle troubleshooting support including acquiring and parsing CAN logs from vehicles and fault analysis based on DTCs or indicator lights.Experience with diagnostic protocols in Automotive ECUs (UDS, KWP, GMLAN, etc.).Strong understanding of Automotive ECUs, Technology, Systems, and Subsystems.Experience with Ethernet/CAN/LIN loggers (Vector tools, Vehicle Spy, etc.).Experience with vehicle calibration tools.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects/assignments with direction from a supervisor.Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills of test benches and ECUs based on behavior seen and logs collected.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent.Understanding of system requirements and control algorithms as they relate to Automotive applications.Work Environment
Onsite in Portland, OR - shop environment with attached office.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00
