Description:We are a dynamic and diverse team on a recurring multi-year program seeking a software configuration management analyst who likes to be challenged, solve problems, and be a contributing member of a highly skilled Agile program. You will be focusing on updating, maintaining and testing the Software Configuration Management (SWCM) baselines for several Air Force aircrew training simulators, a networking system and a visual database generation system.
In addition, as part of the Configuration Management/Data Management (CM/DM) team your job responsibilities will include following the Configuration/Data Management Plan and Work Instructions for the Air Force Special Operations (AFSOC) Air Commando Training Support (ACTS) contract, providing SW configuration and build support. Update the SW baselines with Program Office approved additions, deletions, and modifications. Participates in Engineering Peer Reviews and Engineering Review Boards (ERBs) to assure that all CM requirements are met. Tracks all software changes through the CM Software release process. Maintains configuration control of site software baselines. Synchronizes activities between multiple functions to include Engineering and Cybersecurity. Responsible for inventory, maintaining, and tracking SW CM unclassified and classified media items. Responsible for inventory and control of all Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Software and Licensing and entry into the COTS Software database. Coordinates with site Engineers, Quality Assurance (QA), Maintenance and Government representatives on CM activities. Defines, documents, and implements improvements to site software CM processes and ensures all Contractor Operator and Work Instructions are current. Ensures that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures, schedules, and work plans.
Occasional travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with Configuration/Version Control, Visual Task Boards, and development tools – Examples: Git, Jira, Confluence, Visual Studio, Eclipse, and Jenkins
Current/Active CompTIA Security+ Certification (IAT Level II certification or higher). (Note: Active certification would need to be obtained prior to establishing a start date.)
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent related experience
Ability to work flexible hours
Desired Skills:
Experience with Configuration/Version Control, Visual Task Boards, and development tools – Examples: Git, Jira, Confluence, Visual Studio, Eclipse, and Jenkins
Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Agile, Software Configuration Management, and/or Data Management is a plus.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
