VISTA Technology Services, Inc. (VISTA) is currently seeking a Software Configuration Manager to support a U.S. Navy Shipbuilding Program in Pascagoula, MS. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities:
Route and track configuration change documentation, including ECRs, Waterfront Task Authorizations, and CRs, from development through approval and contract modification. Support the weekly change review and technical package kick-off sessions. Assist in coordination of meetings between Government and shipbuilder personnel to resolve ship configuration and technical issues; Maintain trackers as required. Confirm shipboard equipment configuration audits to verify that approved engineering changes have been implemented and establish ship equipment configuration baselines. Perform ship checks to facilitate engineering change development, as required. Conduct construction unit configuration reviews. Conduct ship configuration audits in support of DD 250 development. Conduct audits of the shipbuilder’s configuration management process. Review engineering changes and problem reports written against the Integrated Shipboard Electronics (ISE) system software and recommend corrective courses of action. Manage distribution of the Government Furnished Combat System, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I), NAVAIR, and ISE Computer Programs. Monitor Contractor Furnished Integrated Shipboard Electronics Computer Programs to ensure they meet contract compliance. Participate in cross platform meetings to monitor how other ship class Warfare System program issues impact the Ship Class. Monitor planned hardware and software upgrades and prepare software and server licensing requests. Review Warfare System Certification Plans and make recommendations. Attend Warfare System Certification Decision meetings.Qualifications:
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred 10+ years of ship configuration management experience including 5+ years of software configuration management experience Knowledge of C41 and Integrated Shipboard Electronics (ISE) system software Experience with Amphibious warships preferred Active DoD Secret Clearance required
