Software Dev Engineer, Lambda

AWS Lambda (https://aws.amazon.com/lambda) is changing the way we think about computing in the cloud. Serverless computing offers customers an exciting new way to create applications, turn business logic and application code into scalable, fault-tolerant production systems without requiring them to be experts in distributed systems, deployment technologies, and infrastructure management.
In this role you will work with team to build the new generic platform by using latest AWS technologies. You will need solve interesting technical challenges with creative ideas in the domain combined by event driven application and Serverless technologies. You will build features for the distributed and large-scale system which will handle billions or trillions transactions. You have opportunities to re-shape the experience of Serverless development.
Key job responsibilities
As an SDE II in the team, you are expected to lead the design of the feature in new or existing system. You will work with senior members and junior members in the team to build and launch the feature. You will make sure enough test has been done to maintain the quality of the delivered software. You will join the oncall rotation to help solving customer issues in the production system.

We are part of AWS Lambda team who is making it easier for developers to build new applications or extend existing systems using serverless technology, by seamlessly integrating services such as DynamoDB, Kinesis, S3, Kafka, ActiveMQ and SQS as "Lambda Event Sources". Our growing team in Seattle has an opening for an experienced engineer who can help us to bring better experience to customers for building data driven applications.
