The AWS High Performance Computing (HPC) team is looking for experienced SDE to work on a new HPC service.

The HPC team is building a core set of offerings that allow our customers to plan, schedule, and execute HPC workloads across the full range of AWS compute services and capabilities.

This is an opportunity to operate and engineer systems on a global scale, while touching and influencing large parts of the underlying AWS services.

As an experienced SDE you'll be involved with the definition of the architectures to build larger, more complex projects and services that surprise and delight our customers. You'll lead the design and implementation of critical components, drive software best practices concerning quality, security, operational excellence, etc., and will help the team to deliver higher quality software faster.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about the opportunities that AWS HPC provides our customers, and about building simple and elegant software solutions and customer-centric products.
This person has thrived, and succeeded in delivering high quality sustainable solutions when priorities shift fast, working as a team or independently as the situation dictates.

Work/Life Balance: Our team also puts a high value on work-life balance. Striking a healthy balance between your personal and professional life is crucial to your happiness and success here, which is why we aren’t focused on how many hours you spend at work or online. Instead, we’re happy to offer a flexible schedule so you can have a more productive and well-balanced life—both in and outside of work.

Mentorship & Career Growth: Our team is dedicated to supporting new team members. Our team has a broad mix of experience levels and Amazon tenures, and we’re building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. Our senior engineers truly enjoy mentoring more junior engineers and engineers from non-traditional backgrounds through one-on-one mentoring and thorough, but kind, code reviews. We care about your career growth. We try to assign projects and tasks based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded engineer and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.
