Software Dev Engineer II, FPDS Last Mile - Customer Integrations

Our team is responsible for integrating HR system to 100+ downstream systems. This job requires you to hit the ground running and your ability to learn quickly will define your success. Expertise on Core Java, SQL (Oracle/Presto), AWS services like Athena, S3, Batch, Lambda, DynamoDb, CloudWatch is a must.

Key job responsibilities
- Gather business and functional requirements and translate these requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions with a flexible and adaptable data architecture.
- Contribute to the architecture and implementation of next generation data solutions from the ground up.
- Manage AWS resources including S3, Athena, Batch, lambda etc.
- Optimize automated processes for performance and fault tolerance.
- Optimize support for ad-hoc analysis across various data sources
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Engineers, and cross-functionally to deliver high quality data architecture and pipelines.
- Make large and/or complex data more accessible, understandable and usable by applications and teams.

About the team
Our team enables data producers and consumers to onboard to FPDS services with minimal time and effort, and be a force multiplier to expand people data selection for our data consumers. Our customers are Amazon Builder teams, Employee Experience teams, and Amazon’s Subsidiaries.
