Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for daDescription:

The Oracle Financial Services Global Business Unit, and specifically the Analytics (OFSAA) line of business, is responsible for the development and marketing of industry specific profitability, risk management, regulatory compliance and budgeting and planning, business intelligence and data foundation built on a common toolset / platform.  As a key member of this team, you will build and deliver the next generation of these vital business solutions for the Financial Services industry

We have technical team leading positions open for Designing and Developing toolsets / foundation components for the OFSAA Platform & Cloud deployment of OFSAA-SaaS offerings. These are crucial roles to ensure that the products / toolsets that we deliver are high quality products to banks across the globe. Leadership in this area, especially during our transition to the Cloud, is critical to ensure success of the products, the team and the group in general.  We are looking for someone who will work in a scrum team of software engineers under the guidance of senior developers and be responsible for delivering the component or components under the scrum team(s). . You will be responsible for building high quality components that are part of the toolset and services that are consumed by the OFSAA applications in an agile development environment. You will be working as an innovator; you will work with other Engineering, Quality Assurance and Product management teams to ensure solutions are thoroughly designed, developed and unit tested, ensure integrated with other components, within the OFSAA suite of products.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide technical expertise  in delivering high quality software products and cloud services Understand best practices for public cloud deployments and build components for OFSAA tooling and services that enable the offerings to be public cloud ready As part of the senior member of the FSGBU's flagship Analytics Platform, the candidate will be responsible for building out newer capabilities and be part of the Cloud journey that the product suite is embarking on and have a flair to explore and practice continuous integration, continuous delivery and agile methodologies.

REQUIREMENTS

3 to 5+(IC3) in a software engineering environment 2+ years in an Agile environment with a high level of automation Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or MCA Experience with developing enterprise products including memory-resident processes, systems that interact with database in high performance configuration, in-memory processing, MVC patterns. Excellent understanding of test-driven development, Unit tests, code coverage, security, continuous build, integration and deployment etc.   Experience with:      Primary Skills   As a Developer you should have a proven experience in building frameworks with good handle on multi-tier architecture.  Comfortable  with a good subset of technologies from the below list - Core Java, J2EE,  Oracle-DB, SQL, Service Oriented Architecture like RESTful, representation of objects & JSON,  Web Technologies including HTML, Java-Scripting,  and JQuery, Java application containers like WebLogic, Jetty. Experience on HIVE and Spark will be an added advantage. Secondary – Knowledge / Skills / Domain  No-SQL implementations/variants, query tuning,  etc.

-          Special considerations if any

Experience in working on products that have transitioned to 'Cloud' from a deployment perspective would be an added advantage.  Experience in Unit Testing frameworks to test using Selenium / Swagger / jUNITs; Collaboration and project management tools: JIRA, Confluence Version control systems (GIT, SVN), Java build tools like Gradle, Maven Relevant experience in Service-oriented architecture for cloud-based services Ability to lead by example as a strong, hands-on technical contributor is essential Strong written, verbal and presentation skills Ability to work in a geographically distributed organization Fortify / Burp Suite tool usage and analysis
