The Portfolio Management Technology team is looking for a talented technologist to develop software and solutions for our private cloud-based risk management platform, Advanced Collateral Management System (ACMS). The team is in the process of building ultra-low latency, high volume, and reliable next generation cloud-based platform. When it is completed, the application should support processing several billions of inquiry transactions during market hours. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly visible team that delivers innovative business solutions leveraging emerging technologies at Schwab. To ensure that we fulfill our promise of “challenging the status quo,” this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field4+ years of experience in a software development roleExperience with full stack application development technologies, RESTful APIs, Relational and Document-Based databases, and Cloud technologies5+ years of coding experience in C#/.NET Experience with IBM MQ, Kafka, Aerospike (NoSQL) database, Splunk (logging), JSON/XML, PCF (Cloud), Agile Practices etc.Experience being a technical lead for a team and/or projectAbility to produce detailed design with help from leads and architects and communicate the design to the necessary stakeholdersAbility to coordinate with teams across different geographic locations

The ability to work independently and to effectively interact and collaborate with all types of stakeholders, both technical and business, peers, and leadersThe ability work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong problem solving and critical thinking skillsThe ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and learn new technologiesStrong customer focus with a sense of ownership and determination to drive solutions in a collaborative environmentExpertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Docker and KubernetesExposure to front end system integration with Pega/Appian BPM toolsFamiliarity with Schwab Technology ecosystem
