Software Developer

KBR is seeking a highly qualified Software Developer to provide support for the NRO Mission Operations Directorate (MOD). MOD operates, maintains, and reports the status of intelligence satellites and their associated ground systems, provides defensive space control and space protection, monitors satellite flight safety, and provides space situational awareness. This effort includes support to innovation labs developing new tools, models, and algorithms to operate and exploit satellite space and ground systems.

As a Software Developer, you have the expertise and experience in machine learning and the rapid development of SIGINT and GEOINT tools algorithms and prototype capabilities to support quick-response R&D.  Skills include algorithmic development, including the design, analysis, implementation, optimization, profiling and experimental evaluation of computer algorithms, bridging the gap between algorithmic theory and operational capabilities. 

Required Qualifications:

3-5 years of expertise and experience and experience in machine learning and the rapid development of SIGINT and GEOINT tools, algorithms and prototype capabilities to support quick-response R&DAbility to design and integrate algorithms, including the design, analysis, implementation, optimization, profiling and experimental evaluationAbility to bridge gaps between algorithmic theory and operational capabilities Ability to deliver MOD lab innovations and mission operations advanced supportActive TS/SCI with CI polygraphBachelor’s degree in STEM or related quantitative science field

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in engineering or related quantitative science field Experience leading teams resulting in successful verification and test strategies/solutions for complex programsExperience with cloud development processesExperience with industry system engineering practicesStrong interpersonal skills in order to influence, collaborate and work effectively with all levels of internal and external leadershipKnowledge of NRO Mission Operations Directorate
