SRC, Inc. is currently seeking an intermediate level Software Developer for its Applications Engineering team. This role involves the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance of internal applications to support business needs. The selected candidate will work with the support of senior developers to build and service applications in two domains:Configuration Management/Product Lifecycle Management, using a commercial platform that is highly extensible and configurableCost and Pricing in support of SRC’s business development and proposal activities, using an internally developed applicationThe role is highly technical, but also involves daily interaction with internal customers to ensure needs are being met while educating on internal software products and capabilities. What You’ll Do Develop business critical applications and system solutions to complex software application challengesApply systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specificationsInterpret business requirements and translate them into technical design requirementsRespond to issues that require code or configuration changesPartner with senior developers to develop knowledge of domains, technologies, development methods and customersDevelop relationships with business partners to better understand their processes and needsRecommend technologies for meeting IT service SLAs and business needsLiaison with software vendors for technical supportPartner with IT peers on application/data integration, maintenance and technical debt reduction activities What You’ll Bring Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field or equivalent work experienceExperience: 6+ years of experience supporting and developing software solutionsMust have experience developing with IDEs such as Visual StudioSoftware development proficiency in programming languages C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL is essential, as is experience developing web applications and web services using ASP.NET/ASP.NET Core/MVC and Entity FrameworkInitiative, grace under pressure and the ability to persist in the face of ambiguity are criticalStrong verbal and written communication skills are requiredWays to Stand Out Experience with Node.js and front-end development libraries like jQuery, React, Bootstrap, and build tools such as NPM, Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt is a plusExperience with software development project management tools such as Git, TFS, or Azure DevOps is desirableExperience with unit testing and related tools like NUnit, xUnit and Jest is also a plus What Sets Us Apart?
