About this opportunity:
We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join a microservice-owning scrum team in Ottawa. This team is dedicated to developing the user interface (UI) for our cutting-edge network assurance product. Our focus is on Lean and Agile ways of working – continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work. In this role, you will collaborate with other team members to design, implement and test new features and resolve defects in a timely manner. You will also split your time between developer and scrum master responsibilities, so the candidate must have the desire and drive to become the team’s agile coach/leader. What you will do:
Design, implement and test scalable, resilient and high-quality user interface features for Ericsson’s network service orchestration and assurance product. Actively participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, software design, development, integration, testing, documentation and support.As the team’s agile coach (scrum master), facilitate team standups, estimation, planning, demos and retrospectives, and well as work with the product owner to prioritize the team’s backlog. Drive the UX direction within our development team by creating mockups for new features, as well as contribute to overall product-level UX (e.g. personas, journey maps and usability testing)
The skills you bring:
A university degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field5+ years of software development experience with demonstrated strength in JavaScript/ES6+ (ideally some Node.js) Experience developing or deploying cloud-native microservices using Kubernetes, helm, dockerAble to create mockups and wireframes using Figma or similar prototyping toolsFamiliar with Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines; tools such as Jenkins and Spinnaker Knowledge of browser-based test automation (e.g. Playwright) would be an assetEffective written and verbal communication Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsGreat work ethic and an eagerness to learn and growA background in telecom, network management, orchestration or assurance is a plusWhy join Ericsson?
