This position within Avionics Software is responsible for developing real-time embedded software and related support equipment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES:Design, develop, test, and maintain software for flight-critical real-time embedded systems in accordance with appropriate development processes and standardsCommunicate with subject matter experts, users, and management throughout the software development lifecycleMaintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive informationPerform other duties as assignedDesirable Technical Knowledge and/or Experience:Programing languages: C/C++ (essential), Python (desired)Embedded systems concepts; bare-metal and real-time operating system architectures,preemption, multitasking, compilers, computer processor architectures and memorymanagementReal-time systems, fault-tolerant systems, control systems, motor control, power electronicsReading and understanding electrical schematics and datasheetsEmbedded communications: SPI, I2C, USART, CANbus, ARINC-429, MIL-STD-1553Ethernet networks and protocolsDevelopment tools and electronic test equipment including in-circuit debuggers/emulators,oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, and signal generatorsSoftware configuration management tools, such as subversion or git, as well as defect tracking tools, and peer reviewFormal software development and test processesWe recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.
