Description We are offering a contract for a Software Developer role in the Motor Freight Forwarder industry, located in Richmond, Virginia. As a Software Developer, you will be expected to solve intricate business problems by employing innovative frameworks and modern technologies. Collaborating with various business units, technical teams, and both internal and external engineering communities, you will be involved in the creation of modern solutions that propel the business forward. Responsibilities: • Develop, test, implement, and maintain applications and interfaces across a full stack of technologies, ensuring the availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions • Engage with business partners, architecture, infrastructure, and development teams to deliver solutions that provide value • Stay updated on the latest technologies, tools, and techniques, mentor other software engineers, and participate in internal and external technology communities • Utilize programming languages and technologies like Javascript, Java, Angular, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, Python, SQL and NoSQL databases, and Container Orchestration services like Kubernetes • Occasionally travel based on business needs • Work within Agile teams to design applications and interfaces • Show a growth mindset and drive transformation within the team and company • Regularly attend and participate in meetings and discussions. Requirements • Proficiency in Android Development, with a solid understanding of mobile application design principles and interface guidelines. • Experience with Atlassian Jira, with the ability to manage and track development tasks effectively. • Expertise in Backend Development, including designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable code. • Strong knowledge of programming languages, particularly C++, and understanding of its nuances. • Familiarity with Cloud Technologies and services, with the ability to design and implement scalable software solutions. • Experience in AB Testing, with the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of software features and improvements. • Proficiency in Agile Scrum methodologies, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development environment. • Experience in API Development, with the ability to design and develop secure, high-performance APIs. • Knowledge of software Deployments, with the ability to manage release processes and ensure software quality. • Strong Engineering skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality software solutions.
