Job Description
We are looking for a Software Developer with experience in Virtual Reality (VR) development to join our team. This position is open due to a recently awarded program. The work starts on March 3. Currently, we have limited experience in this skillset and are seeking someone who can provide expert insight and development capabilities in VR.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement VR simulations for a crew of four, focusing on equipment setup, operation, and disassembly.Collaborate with operators to ensure accurate communications and checks within the VR environment.Write and optimize code to handle large data transfers and reduce latency issues.Provide samples of previous work (e.g., GitHub repositories) for review.Develop prototypes and proof of concepts to showcase capabilities and industry potential.Work closely with the team to expand the VR component portfolio and explore new opportunities.Essential SkillsExperience in Virtual Reality developmentProficiency in 3D UnityStrong programming skills in C++ or C#Familiarity with MRTS (Multiple Reconfigurable Training Systems)Bachelor's degreeSelf-starter with excellent communication skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with embedded software developmentDoD project experience is a plus but not requiredWork Environment
This role is open to fully remote candidates. You will be part of a small business defense contractor specializing in communication systems, software development, and systems engineering. The company is headquartered in Oklahoma City, OK, and prides itself on its agile and trust-based environment. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative VR projects and contribute to expanding our portfolio in the defense sector.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $60.00/hr.
