ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the software development of the System Model suite to improve its fitness as an operational production engine for business applications running on HPC infrastructure.Develop software primarily in modern C++ (version 14 or higher), involving both adding new features to existing code and developing new software from scratch.Implement continuous improvements to the version control and release management system.Collaborate with other members of the Software Development and Test teams.Work with System Modeling team engineers to develop System Model algorithms with an emphasis on efficiently integrating complex algorithms for fast execution, reliability, and maintainability.Interface with other teams to successfully integrate the System Model into business applications as required.Take part in peer reviews, debugging, testing, documentation, and other related tasks.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in software development.Proficiency in modern C++ (version 14, 17, or 20).Experience with Linux.Knowledge of Git (GitLab preferred).Experience with Golang or Python.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Azure.Knowledge of CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Docker.Experience with embedded systems (C development, embedded Linux, APIs).Aerospace or Satcom experience (desirable but not required).Work Environment

This position is based on-site in downtown Ottawa. Four days will be in the office, with an option to work from home on Wednesdays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
