Software Developer - ABAP

JOB SUMMARY:

Write, analyze, test and modify SAP software, applications, programs and updates.Engage in most aspects of the system development lifecycle, including development, testing, implementation, and support.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, configure, implement and support SAP's solutions.Debug and implement enhancements in existing applications.Working knowledge on cross applications like EDI/ IDOCS.Perform performance tuning to improve performance over multiple functionsParticipate as a high-level technical expert in design, development, coding, documenting, testing and debugging existing or new applications.Create prototypes and mock-ups.Engage other technical team members in the design, delivery, and deployment of solutions.Resolve customer issues.Participate in estimation and project planning.Report assigned tasks periodically to supervisor.Periodic project management meetings.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: (Overall experience and years of experience in particular skill)

Educational attainment equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related fieldFamiliarity with Module pool, UI5/Fiori, Smart Forms, BADI’s, BAPI’s & User ExitsKnowledge of EDI & Business Intelligence tools are a plus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Considerable knowledge and understanding of SAP development technologies such as ABAP & SQL and front-end technologies like HTML5 & JavaScript (5 years)Strong object orientation experienceSAP Fiori development experience is required (1 year)Gateway developmentStrong communication skillsConsiderable knowledge of business and manufacturing applications and system requirementsKnowledge of systems analysis and designStrong analytical skills and ability to write technical specifications.Ability to lead and facilitate technical discussions.Ability to evaluate project requests, provide solutions with time estimates, and follow through and complete projects accurately and on a timely basis.Ability to work independently and as a team member in completing assignments.SAP Certifications is a big plusCPI-DS, RTI, JITTERBIT development, integration and monitoring knowledge will have added advantage.Company: Behr Paint CompanyFull time
