**CTG is seeking to fill a Software Developer Generalist opening for our client in Durham, NC.** **Location:** Durham, NC **Duration:** 10 months **Duties:** + Develop and maintain software applications with a focus on low-level programming in C/C++. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and troubleshoot software solutions. + Work with networking technologies to ensure seamless integration of software systems. + Assist in enhancing and optimizing networking protocols. + Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers. + Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices. **Skills:** + Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages. + Strong background in networking technologies. + Experience with IPv6 protocol. + Knowledge of Internet Key Exchange (IKEv1 or IKEv2) protocols. + Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. + Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices. + Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. **Experience:** + 3+ years of professional software development experience, specifically in low-level programming. + Demonstrated experience with networking protocols and technologies. + Hands-on experience with IPv6 and Internet Key Exchange protocols is highly preferred. + Previous experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment is a plus. **Education:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
