Job Title: Software Developer in Test

Job Description

You will ensure the quality and reliability of the System Model codebase, as well as the microservice ecosystem supporting it, through effective and automated software testing. You will be responsible for writing software tools and scripts in addition to leveraging existing test frameworks and tools to perform integration, system, performance, and other tests to validate the functional and non-functional requirements of the product.

ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the development teams to understand software requirements and design test strategies accordingly.Build and maintain automated test frameworks and infrastructure (GitLab).Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and continuous integration for the System Model suite within different software development environments (Matlab, Python, Go).Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, and scalability testing, to ensure code quality.Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.Improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Monitor and manage test environments, ensuring stability and availability.Essential SkillsProficiency in Python or Matlab.Experience with automation testing and scripting.Knowledge of Linux operating systems.Familiarity with Git (GitLab preferred).Experience with microservices.Proficiency in PyTest and CI/CD tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Go/Golang.Satcom experience.Experience with Robot Framework.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
