Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and inquiring macOS Developer with a strong programming background to join our innovative team at Bitdefender. This role requires a quick learner who can rapidly adapt to new technologies and overcome challenges with efficiency and expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality macOS applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues ranging from simple, well-documented problems to complex, open-ended challenges.
• Ensure all work adheres to Bitdefender’s standards of quality, speed, and stability.

Requirements:

• Solid foundation in algorithms and data structures.
• Minimum of 2 years of development experience, preferably on macOS.
• Proficient in one or more of the following programming languages: C/C++, Objective-C, or Swift.
• Experience with source control systems (GIT).
• Strong understanding of design patterns.
• Experience with multi-threaded applications and synchronization mechanisms.
• Experience with interprocess communication.
• Familiarity with security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience developing low-level macOS components (e.g., kext, system extensions).
• In-depth understanding of OS internals, including filesystem, processes, signals, standard file descriptors, and permissions.
• Experience with Rust and web development.
