Description We are seeking a creative and highly skilled Software Engineer to deliver innovative and cutting-edge Personalized Video Platform features such as ML-driven personalized content and advertisement recommendations. You will be instrumental in enhancing the "Continued Watching" and "Play List" experiences, and building the core video platform personalization infrastructure for the EntOS platform and XUMO JV TV. Areas of Responsibility: + You will develop features for video platform software to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements. + You will plan and execute tasks using your experience and judgment under general supervision. + You are to monitor and maintain operational readiness of applications hosted in Kubernetes deployments. + Configure and test changes to system including reports, security access, and workflow. + Perform/Coordinate configuration changes to the production environment. + Collaborate with data scientists, quality engineers, and platform team members to deliver end-to-end personalization product features and monitor their performance with metrics. Requirements Skills and Experience: + A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or in a related area with 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in the industry. + Superb communication skills, with a proven record of collaborating effectively with others in a highly dynamic environment. + Experience in data engineering workflows, specifically working with Databricks and/or Apache Spark to build ML pipelines. + Proven track-record of building highly scalable, distributed web services (REST and GRPC). + Proficiency with both Java and Scala, with ZIO experience a bonus. + Experience with Kubernetes, observability, and performance optimization of distributed systems running in container environments. + Experience with Amazon Web Service’s public cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code is a plus.
