Job Duties:

Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. Apply extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture. May telecommute. (385.15000)

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field followed by seven years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a software development-related occupation.

Position requires:

Oracle Engineered Systems including Exadata, Exalogic, Bigdata appliance and OCI (Oracle cloud infrastructure); Linux, Storage solutions, and configuration management tools including Puppet and Chef; Capacity planning, optimizing utilization, and automating infra management tasks using Terraform, Python, and Shell Scripting; Server Virtualization technologies including OVM and KVM; CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins) and monitoring and alarming tools including OEM, OCI Telemetry, Grafana. Logging tools including ELK and OpenSearch Oracle database administration; Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as costs, and security needs to determine hardware and software configurations; Security vulnerability assessment and Mitigation; Create standard operating procedures and documentations for managing and troubleshooting infrastructure issues; Design and create tooling to automate the mundane tasks and help diagnose to reduce time to resolve issue; and Debugging of highly critical infrastructure issues and provide root cause analysis.
