Key job responsibilities - Write high-quality code that meets Amazon's rigorous standards for performance, scalability, maintainability, and security - Implement efficient data pipelines to support AI/ML model training and evaluation systems - Build intuitive data products and visualization tools that enhance data accessibility and insights - Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data infrastructure supporting large-scale data operations, including extraction, transformation, aggregation, ingestion, and query execution - Research and adopt technical solutions and best practices in architectural design, coding, testing, documentation, and security - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative features and products. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing - Experience with AWS technologies (Redshift, Athena, RDS, S3, EMR, Lambda, CDK) and Hadoop ecosystems (Spark, MapReduce, YARN, Hive, etc.) - Experience with full stack development Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
