Software Development Engineer, Alexa Identity - Alexa Connected Devices
Amazon.com
Alexa Identity team enables every Amazon business to build truly personal AI assistants. We are building LLM-based conversational learning capabilities and experiences to enable personal assistants to learn their customers just like how humans learn each other.
We are seeking talents to lead a cross-function effort to transform how we identify customers through customizing Foundational LLM models using Supervised Fine Tuning (SFT) and In-Context Learning (ICL) model training technologies. The LLM-centric development model is changing every aspect of traditional software development. The candidate is expected to be able to deliver in an environment with a high velocity and lots of ambiguities by working across multiple roles from both internal and external partner engineering teams. If you want to know how AI is changing every aspect of our work and life, come talk to us!
Key job responsibilities
The Software Development Engineer will:
• launch customer facing experiences end to end through a cross-function effort, including product manager, UX designer, research scientist, language engineer, software engineers, data engineers, and quality engineers.
• work closely with applied scientists to handle myriad of conversational use cases to learn about customers in a scalable and natural way.
• be responsible for the development and maintenance of key platforms needed for connecting LLMs to actual user requests and real world APIs which act on them required for building conversational agents.
• work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technologies and evaluate technical feasibility.
• work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.
About the team
The team is envisioned to enable AI assistants to learn like humans getting to know each other. We are developing both real time learning capabilities while customers are engaging with an AI assistant in conversations and offline learning capabilities basing on natural language.
