Amazon Digital Acceleration is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining a unique storage platform comprised of DynamoDB, Amazon DocumentDB, and S3. You will be responsible for building robust APIs to expose reads and writes to the storage, optimizing query execution for improved performance and cost efficiency, and contributing to the development of a centralized eventing system and its associated APIs and reporting mechanisms. Additionally, you will play a key role in ensuring data security, privacy, and compliance within our systems.

Key job responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs for accessing and manipulating data stored in DynamoDB, Amazon DocumentDB, and S3.
- Optimize query execution to improve performance and reduce storage costs.
- Contribute to the development of a centralized eventing system, including designing APIs, implementing event processing logic, and generating reports.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
- Mentor other entry level developers in the team, providing guidance on best practices, troubleshooting, and operational tasks.
