Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Platform Services and Emerging Technology Developer Enablement (DevRel) group. The DevRel organization's mission is to provide developers with the tools and support needed to create high-quality applications that meet Autodesk's requirements. This includes enabling developers to build, test, and deploy software applications using tools such as CloudOS and Beacon.

The DevRel team fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing to empower developers, enabling them to take ownership of their work and contribute to our success. In this role, you will represent developer needs across the APAC/EMEA regions, providing technical support, maintaining developer enablement solutions, and collaborating with partner platform teams to ensure optimal platform functionality. This position is based in India, and you will report to a Senior Engineering Manager.

ResponsibilitiesStandardize service deployment configurations and processes for application teamsAccelerate deployment timelines for application teamsFacilitate the onboarding of application teams to internal developer platformsProvide technical support to developers using platform servicesAssist developers in building and deploying applicationsTroubleshoot issues and collaborate with development teams to resolve challengesWork with development teams to ensure the platform meets their needsMaintain comprehensive documentation and training materials for platform servicesStay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends

Minimum Qualifications5–7 years managing resources within cloud computing platforms like AWS5–7 years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CloudBees, or Spinnaker for automating the software development lifecycle5–7 years of experience with infrastructure provisioning and automation tools like TerraformExpertise in development, build, and deployment processes for workloads, including serverless, container-based, and enterprise applicationsHands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker or KubernetesProficiency in observability practices and tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Dynatrace, or NewRelicStrong ability to create technical documentation such as runbooks, engineering notes, and resourcesExcellent inter-team communication, coordination, and collaboration skills

Preferred QualificationsActive involvement in open-source software and related communitiesEnjoys public speaking at conferences and developer eventsRelevant certifications such as:AWS Certified Solutions Architect – AssociateAWS Certified DevOps EngineerCertified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
