Software Development Engineer II
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer II to join the Pricing teams (part of Distribution Supply and Trust Organization), responsible for developing and handling our pricing products that provide the best deals for our customers.
The vision for this organization is to encourage travel by building a framework for trusted marketplaces. We are building capabilities that inspire travel by providing quality, selection, value and safety for all marketplace participants - that is, our customers, partners, suppliers. We are converging this onto a single platform, developing this for all brands and all lines of business. We operate at the intersection between supply & demand in the marketplace.
Our team works on the cutting edge features in EG pricing services, ensuring we're giving travellers the best deals possible. Our applications are high throughput low latency systems that are essential to all of Expedia's pricing services. We are a team, passionate about growth and opportunity, investing in our engineers so that we build the best applications possible. We work closely with product managers to build new features to improve Expedia's capabilities for all users of Expedia. Our team builds features that are used by every single hotel partner. We benefit both the traveller and our partners by providing novel ways for partners to optimize their rates as a means to give them the greatest exposure to potential travellers. Our cloud-native (AWS) technology powered travel platform enables our marketplace participants. We organise for feature velocity, so wherever appropriate, your teams will use AWS services like Lambda, Kinesis, ElastiCache, Aurora, DynamoDB and of course EC2, ECS and S3. To further help speed things up, you'll look to build on top of open-source systems and libraries like Redis, GRPC, Akka, Cassandra, and MongoDB with our services built on JVM.
