You will work on a tight-knit team, including software engineers, designers, and product owners to build features that simplify business travel and travel management for people on the go.
**What You'll Do:**
+ You will investigate and research potential software solutions for corporate travel-related features
+ You will code in a variety of languages including Java (and Kotlin), JavaScript (React preferred), HTML and CSS
+ You will identify, recommend, and build solutions that address business and customer needs
+ You will craft resilient and highly scalable software solutions within the Egencia platform, optimized for speed and with low memory requirements
+ You will contribute to our test automation and overall infrastructure to verify new and existing features function as designed, and to minimize downtime
+ You will monitor applications and service performance to ensure quick time to detect and time to resolution of any customer impacting issues
+ You will review code and mentor other engineers on standard methodologies and processes
+ You will collaborate with team members throughout Egencia in maintaining a healthy code base, adopting new tools, and managing efficient CI/CD Pipelines
**What We're Looking For:**
+ Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science
+ 5+ years’ experience in software development with competencies in OO programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design
+ 1 years or more of experience in React
+ Understanding of full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and test automation, and DevOps
+ Experience communicating with customers, technical teams, and other partners to collect requirements, understand software product features, and technical designs
+ Experience integrating 3rd party front-end libraries
+ Experience developing/consuming RESTful services
+ Experience developing/consuming GraphQL services
+ Experience implementing A/B testing
+ Experience with git or similar software version control system
+ Strong problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
+ Ability to work with minimal guidance and to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively
+ Currently permitted to work in the US – Visa sponsorship is available

**Location**
Chicago, Illinois, United States
The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $60,000 to $120,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that Egencia expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
