Digital Advice Technology (DAT) is looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test who will contribute to our suite of Schwab automated investing products, including Schwab Intelligent Portfolios and Schwab Intelligent Portfolios Premium, by participating in team planning & technical design, implementing high quality code and automation, and working to define and maintain quality standards to ensure appropriate test coverage on the Business Capability engineering team. The team develops, tests, and releases core APIs, workers, databases, and libraries that back the Intelligent Portfolios product offering. This position provides the opportunity to work innovatively and collaboratively with product and technology partners to execute to Schwab’s vision to be the most trusted leader in investment services.

Code may be used in commercial and/or end-user applicationsLeverage current and evolving technologies to design, code, test, log, debug, document and analyze current/future applications. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or related practical experience.6+ years of hands-on application programming and/or test automation / framework experience.3+ years of experience writing automation in object-oriented languages such as C#, Java, and/or C++.Experience with test automation as a part of Continuous Integration, enabling Continuous Delivery.Team player with excellent communication skills (oral and written) to partner technically with Application Architects, Development, QA/Testing organizations and Business teams.Experience in development of automated framework(s) for enterprise level functional and regression testing.Ability to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions when tools don’t work.Ability to contribute to all phases of the SDLCRequirements reviewDesign implementationAll aspects of testingProduction implementation and supportData analysisSolid experience and understanding of Agile Methodologies.Programming, debugging/troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Prior experience or familiarity interfacing with SRE / production support.Delivery driven - motivated and passionate about meeting the needs of each customer (internal & external).Motivation and passion to stay on top of new and emerging test and automation technologies and able to provide direction to team on quality approaches.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience and working knowledge of Web Applications, Databases, Web Services, batch processing technologies.Strong knowledge of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.), Excel, Word and Visio, UML tools, Swagger, requirements management tools.Experience with cloud-native enterprise applications in public or private cloud is strongly preferred.Prior experience with trading systems or financial services experience is a plus.Ability and desire to contribute to application and platform architecture and design.
