Job responsibilities
You will join the Software Engineering chapter, working alongside other internal experts, specializing in various aspects of software engineering. Together, the team collaborates on multiple products that cater to Roche's internal business requirements.
You will play the role of product owner and your key responsibilities will be:
Collaborate with business- and IT stakeholders to gather and define requirements for the product or feature being developed.
Collaborate with architects and developers to establish technical specifications.
Manage and prioritize the platform backlog, ensuring that the most critical tasks are addressed first.
Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the cross-functional team.
Communicate the product vision and requirements to the development team, ensuring a clear understanding of what needs to be built.
Act as a liaison between the development team and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of technical decisions and constraints
Oversee the development of new features to maximize business value, ensuring they align with the product strategy and are implemented effectively
Continuously assess and improve the product development process to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and value delivery, ensuring alignment with evolving business goals and user needs
Effectively communicate technical concepts through presentations to the team and stakeholders.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with Organizational Change Management (OCM) to ensure successful user adoption and seamless integration of new features and improvements
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the product vision and strategy, ensuring it meets evolving user needs and business objectives.
Job requirements
The following skills are a must for the job:
Background in software engineering
3+ years of experience in IT application development
Experience working in an agile (SCRUM, SAFe, xP) environment.
Essential effective oral and written communication skills in English.
Moderate travel required and ability to work across multiple time zones.
Additionally, as a nice to have:
Proficiency in object oriented- (Java) and/or procedural programming (python, js)
Proficiency in software delivery methods
Experience in developing and using validated systems.
Experience with codebeamer development or other ALM systems such as Jira, Azure DevOps, GitLab, etc.
Understanding of Process Modelling.
Proficiency in HTML and CSS.
Education / Years of Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience in software development
You bring 3-5 years of relevant work experience in one or more multinational work environments (e.g. healthcare industry experience is a plus).
Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Good communication and collaboration skills
