We are seeking a Software Development Intern to join our team.
Based in our Ft. Lauderdale office, the Software Development Intern will contribute to the ongoing enhancement and modernization of the intelliView software platform by modernizing the software help/support system using AI/ML to aggregate documentation and create an intuitive chat interface.
Job DescriptionCore Responsibilities:
Gain an understanding of Alpine’s intelliView platform, the current capabilities, and goals for transitioning towards a new software platformCollaborate with the product owner to understand the business requirements and the value proposition behind product features that are builtUnderstand and follow the Agile methodology and scrum processesDesign and implement AI/ML models to aggregate and analyze helpdesk and support documentation. Develop a conversational chat interface that provides real-time support to customers.Conduct user testing and gather feedback to improve system functionality and user experience. Monitor system performance and user interactions to continuously enhance AI capabilities. Ensure the integration of the chat interface with existing helpdesk systems and databases. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in AI, ML, and customer support.Share key learnings and implementation/approach with the teamExpected Learnings:
High-level product capabilities of the Alpine software portfolioCapabilities of Alpine’s current intelliView platform and strategy for transition towards a new software solutionDesign and implementation of interactive UI components using web-based technologiesDevelopment and consumption of APIs to standardize data accessQualificationsRising Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology, or related field.Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and other tools used to design and create web-based user interfacesProficiency in programming languages as JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as (Angular, Vue.js, Node.js, React.js), C# Sharp, PythonKnowledge of database management and query languages (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) for deploying AI/ML models, and Prompt engineering is a plus.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skillsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteAdditional InformationITW is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
