Do you enjoy working on problems related to Scale, Distributed Computing and Machine Learning?

As the engineering manager of the Auction Core Engineering team, you will develop the algorithms and systems for the ad ranking, auction processes, and ad allocation decisions that drive Amazon's multi-billion dollar advertising program. On any given day you will partner with Applied Scientists to design experiments that optimize publisher, advertiser, and shopper outcomes, all while ensuring our systems are able to respond in a tight latency window.

A successful candidate will be highly analytical and self-driven, with an ability to handle a high degree of ambiguity.



Key job responsibilities
1) Lead a team of engineers working on the tier 1 auction service
2) Partner with Product Leads and the broader Sponsored Products Organization to build features that help shoppers complete their mission
3) Drive architectural and software quality improvements across your team
4) Hire and develop engineers through coaching and mentoring
