We operate at Amazon scale where you will lead your team to design and deploy software that will benefit millions of customers globally. The ideal candidate is passionate about leading and building strong software engineering team. You are equally obsessed about delivering the best possible customer experiences. You lead the team in defining software architecture. You define and drive key performance and quality metrics for your team. Key job responsibilities
What you'll do:

• Define the long-term vision, strategy, and goals for your team
• Hire , manage and grow a team of software engineers, including their projects, performance, and career growth
• Clearly communicate project roadmaps with your team, management, and principal stakeholders
• Collaborate with peers, Product managers and Principal Engineers to deliver highly impactful projects.
• Drive continual architectural improvements to the efficiency and flexibility of the platform while keeping an extremely high bar on customer trust, performance, and availability.
• Argue for the right outcomes with data, conviction, and diplomacy

A day in the life
Working with the Product leader and your team leads to keep an eye on the implementation of strategic initiatives (CDN Capacity Management, Feature development, Re-engineering for scale etc)

People management - 1:1s with your team to keep a pulse on group morale, sub-team challenges

Strategic Meetings with Senior leadership (MBR, QBR, OP1, 3YP, Roadmap updates etc)

Update leadership on relevant program statuses.

Operations management – review production metrics and dashboards to keep an eye on global video delivery for PV
