**Job Title:** Software Development Student Employee **Location:** Palo Alto, CA **Job Summary and Description:** Support the Software Development Organization. Please note that this is a hybrid role located at our Palo Alto office. Depending on ability and workload, this may include: + Technical support to end users - computer programming (primarily bug fixing of Windows desktop and web applications) in technical engineering and numerical modeling applications + Software testing, including creating of test data sets + Creating of user documentation + Maintenance of customer support web sites Preferred Qualifications: + Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. + Experience with one or more programming languages on a Microsoft platform (prefer VB.NET, C#, VC++, Python) + Experience in manipulating data using tools such as database and spreadsheet tools (e.g. Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel) Additional Recommended Experience: + Job experience in a customer-facing role. + Demonstrable interest in mathematics, science, and engineering The hourly rate range for Student positions are: + Undergraduate: $16-29 per hour + Masters: $25-31 per hour + Ph.D: $27-34 per hour These ranges are an estimate, and the actual hourly rate may vary based on various factors, including without limitation applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The hourly rate may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. For Student positions which require one to relocate to an EPRI office. Relocation assistance is not provided and the student will be responsible for covering all relocation costs/expenses.
