The Opportunity:
As a Software Development Team Lead, you will lead a team of 8-10 members developing a software service that is part of a large SIGINT processing system. The service will allow storage, access and retrieval for all data produced by the system, and tools for end-user access. The team develops and maintains RESTful services, large data stores, and web-based thin-client software applications.

Responsibilities:
Team Lead:

Providing direction for the teamWorking to ensure the team has tasking, understands their tasks, and can complete themDevelop product roadmaps (long term plans), increment (medium-term) plans, and sprint (short-term) plansLead team in estimating effort and schedule for planned scopeEnsure the team is executing to planCollect, report and present team plans and status to Program Manager and customer representativeWorking with the Program Manager to set program goals and ensure goals are metWorking with the customer representatives and program management to determine priorities and allocate resourcesCollaborate with other teams to ensure overall project successAct as the primary Point of Contact for the team

Technical Contributor:

Contribute to the team as a software developer or system engineAssist in determining technical direction for the software proConduct / lead design reviewsConduct code reviewsAssist in determining test approaches, methods, and proceduresCoordinate with other software and integration teams. Design and coordinate interfaces with external componentsSupport the operations system


Minimum Qualifications:
Technical Qualifications:

Software Development skills / experienceExperience designing software systemsWorking in Agile and DevOps / DevSecOps processesAble to estimate effort and schedule for planned work

Management Qualifications:

Able to work collaboratively with team membersAble to communicate effectively with management, customers, and team membersExperience presenting plans and status to management


Nice to have Qualifications:

Software architecture or System Engineering experience with software systemsSpecific programing skills / experience – Java, JavaScriptExperience with Interface Design, Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design, Web ServicesUnderstanding of User Interfaces (UI)s, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standFamiliarity with micro-service architecturesFamiliarity with software components such as Angular, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, MongoDB, Postgres, Kafka, RabbFamiliarity with development tools such as Git / Bitbucket, Confluence / Jira, Gitlab, Jenkins, AnsibWorking in Amazon Web Services (AWS) environmentFamiliarity with development in LinuxCertifications such as Security+ orExperience with SIGINT processing systemsExperience with legacy system tools such as CBET, GALE, etc.Experience with OpenSphere

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$89,500-$188,000
