Schwab Asset Management Solutions (SAMS) Technology is part of the Schwab Technology Services (STS) organization which is responsible for the company’s use of information technology including all telecommunications, operations and client and business applications.
SAMS Technology is aligned to support the technology needs of Schwab Asset Management (SAMS) which is the investment advisor for Schwab’s proprietary mutual funds, referred to as the Schwab Funds; and it includes Schwab’s exchange-traded funds, referred to as the Schwab ETFs™. With over $370bn in assets under management, SAMS is the 3rd largest provider of index funds and the 7th largest provider of money market funds.
What you’ll do:
Mid-level Software Development and Engineering role, with responsibilities including hands-on development, participation in architectural designs. The role entails full Agile and DevOps model in partnership of SAMS business—actively working with Product Owners, End-Users, Partners—in active participation in requirements, design, coding, testing (unit and functional), deployment and post-release support. What you haveThis role requires a highly motivated, organized, and experienced business focused technology individual with a proven record of software delivery to a front office investment management business.
Qualifications & Experience
7+ years of hands-on expert level development skills in .Net framework, REST APIs and optionally 3+ years of Angular front-end experiencePCF or AWS or Azure cloud experience Developer experience in Informatica, SSIS and other ETL technologies Participate and contribute to technology architecture designs to future proof platform and reduce technical debts. Knowledge of software design patterns and ability to apply then to the right use case scenarios. Experience with TDD & BDD is a plus.An agile champion with good understanding of CI/CD. Experience with GitHub or Atlassian suite of products & Jira is preferred. 2+ years of experience in Financial Services Industry. Preferred Good to have exposure of Fixed Income portfolio management and trading processing including optionally Separately managed business workflows. Preferred
