Job Description
The Launch and Missile Defense Systems division is seeking a Level 3 Software Engineer to join the team. Our domain provides rewarding work that contributes to the latest advancements in the missile defense industry. Thsi program aims to provide a common and extensible mission data processing framework that accelerates new multi-int fusion programs. The position is located in Boulder, CO, nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and only 25 miles from downtown.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, document, test, deploy, and debug software applications.Research, identify, and implement solutions to complex multi-disciplinary software problems.Work with algorithm engineers to design and implement algorithms that are both performant and extensible to new mission areas (e.g., OPIR, Radar) and platforms (e.g., ARM, cloud).Integrate capabilities into new and existing programs.Develop software using Agile Methodology.Utilize Jira to document bugs and enhancements.Provide software engineering support for multi-language, Modern C++, Python, and complex software systems.Enhance usability, performance, and maintainability of systems via analysis and bug fixes.Coordinate, integrate, and resolve defects in conjunction with the test team.Prepare software documentation and models.Collaborate on challenging and diverse assignments in collaborative settings across all levels.Essential SkillsBachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 0 years of experience.Linux experience.Proficiency in C/C++.Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).Experience with configuration management software (e.g., Git).Experience with containerization and cloud technologies.Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.Current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Top Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance.Work Environment
This position is located on-site in Boulder, CO, with the option of working Monday to Friday or 4 10-hour days. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80.00 - $135.00
