Job Description

The Launch and Missile Defense Systems division within our client is seeking multiple Level 3 Software Engineers to join their IRAD team. Our domain provides rewarding work that contributes to the latest advancements being made in the missile defense industry. TKEL aims to provide a common and extensible mission data processing framework that accelerates new multi-int fusion programs. The position is located in Boulder, CO, nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and only 25 miles from downtown.

ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, document, test, deploy, and debug software applications.Research, identify, and implement solutions to complex multi-disciplinary software problems.Integrate capabilities into new and existing programs.Develop software using Agile Methodology.Utilize Jira to document bugs and enhancements.Provide software engineering support for multi-language Modern C++, Python, and complex software systems.Enhance usability, performance, and maintainability of systems via analysis and bug fixes.Coordinate, integrate, and resolve defects in conjunction with the test team.Prepare software documentation and models.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience, or a PhD with 0 years of experience.Proficiency in C++.Experience with configuration management software (e.g., Git).Experience with containerization and cloud technologies.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Object-Oriented (OO) design patterns and modern data structures.Experience with software development and troubleshooting in a team environment.Experience with legacy software and modernization efforts.Experience with C++ Template Metaprogramming.Experience with Python and shell scripting languages.Experience with Agile development.Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite.Technical leadership experience.Full software development lifecycle experience.A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance (nice to have for future programs, not required)Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $135.00/hr.
