We are seeking a Software Engineer who will join an existing Streaming Analytics team. The Software Engineer will become a member of a mature software development effort using Java as the primary language. The development effort uses Agile methods to assign, track and manage development requirements and activities within the team. Telework is available on an ad hoc, \"as tasking allows\" basis according to what is in the current sprint. It is possible, but not guaranteed.\n

Position requires an active TS\/SCI with Polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.\n
\n

Position Required Skills:\n\nDevelop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems\nAnalyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements\nDebug existing software and designs and codes new software or modify existing software to add new features\nRecommend new technologies and processes for complex software projects\nServe as the technical lead for multiple software development sub-teams within a sprint\n\n
\n

Position Desired Skills: \n\nDemonstrated work experience with analytics or analytic frameworks such as Apache Flink\nFamiliarity with containers and container orchestration systems such as Docker and Kubernetes.\nDemonstrated work experience developing RESTful services\nA minimum six (6) years demonstrated experience out of the most recent eight (8) years developing production software for Solaris or Linux environments\nSix years (6) of experience developing software using the Java programming language or C or C++\n\n

Qualifications: \n

Twenty (20) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree\n
\n
