Reporting to the Director, Software Engineering the Software Engineer is the primary point person for maintaining functionality and improving the user experience of web-based database applications. The Engineer is involved in converting access applications to web-based applications. Th e Engineer is part of the Data Services team, which works closely to increase meaningful use of data at Breaking Ground. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Serve as internal point person for database related issues and questions + Monitor web applications and Access databases including troubleshooting and end user support + Develop new web-based applications + Oversee table and field configuration, data system changes, API implementations + Assist data team with query optimization + Manage data conversion portion of data modernization + Run regular reports of data to check for quality + Contributes to data services efforts and initiatives + Work with external database consultants when needed + Perform other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + High school diploma or equivalent + Experience building and maintaining web applications.
