Responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer with MTSI you will utilize your Java and JavaScript experience to design, implement, and maintain real-time data ingestion infrastructure for a project using an agile development model.  This position will be located in Chantilly, VA.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.Develop and maintain the front-end and back-end components of web applications and web services.Assist with the testing and deployment of code in a secure cloud environment.Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance and scalability.Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. Actively participate in the agile development process, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.

Qualifications:

5+ years' of experience as a Software Engineer or a related field.Solid understanding of web development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Experience with a front-end JavaScript framework such as Vue.js.Familiarity with at least one server-side language such as Java, Python, or C.Experience working with Linux-based servers and systems.Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git, Mercurial).Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Helm, Kubernetes).Understanding of RESTful API design principles.Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, data science, engineering, math, statistics, operations research, or related field.

Certifications Desired:

DoD 8570 IAT level 3 (CompTIA Security+) compliant.

Clearance Requirements:

TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
