Software Engineer

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop, and build software solutions, and perform technical troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve technical problems. Develop secure high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by peers. Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems. Participate in evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture. Responsible for communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies. Analyze and identify risk in work processes and communicate to business stakeholders. Develop documentation for onboarding and training new team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or STEM-related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer/Developer, Analytics/Audit Associate, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: software engineering; Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC); Agile methodologies including Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Applicant Resiliency, and Security; automation; delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability; at least one (1) programming language; Microservices; Docker; Jenkins; NodeJS; CSS; HTML; Java; JavaScript (ES5 and ES6); jQuery; React; NextJS; SASS; SQL; Typescript; REST; SOAP; JSON; AWS Cloud Services; MongoDB; Splunk; Tableau; GIT; Webpack; Babel; Functional Testing; Performance Testing; Unit Testing; Testing practices with Mocha and Chai; MaterialUI; Styled-Components; Express; Axios; AWS-EC2 instances; loader.io; IBM Watson-Natural Language Processing (NLP); and Alteryx.

Job Location: 3223 Hanover Street, Palo Alto, CA 94304. Full-time telecommuting/remote permitted 100% of the week; must reside within the state of California.

Full-Time. Salary:  $150,000 - $185,000 per year
