Disney Parks, Experiences and Products is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for building world-class products and enabling our businesses to be future ready. We are looking for an engineer who has full stack programming experience and is enthusiastic to build and maintain new applications, improving our Guest and Cast experiences.

You will:

Design and implement reliable, high-throughput, low latency, scalable and well-documented code to tackle sophisticated algorithmsCollaborate with engineers, product owners, and other partners to propose extensible, reusable and performant solutionsProactively seek opportunities to reuse or generalize existing services and implementationsExperiment, develop proof of concept with relevant new technologiesConduct code review pull-requests with consistent scrutinyAble to work independently to analyze and solve issues as an individual contributorTroubleshoot, fix problems reported in lower and production environmentsWrite unit and component tests to ensure delivery of high quality codeMonitor and proactively improve production run quality of applicationsWork in a scrum team and provide your daily updatesEstimate effort for assigned development tasks, assist in estimating level of effort for less senior level developers

Required Skills and Experience:

3+ years of software engineering, analysis and design with full software development lifecycle experience3+ years with Internet technologies, microservices architectures3+ years of developing cloud native applications, preferably in AWSExperience with scripting languages like JavaScript and frameworks such as Angular/ reactExperience with Docker / KubernetesStrong understanding of object-oriented programming with an understanding of design principlesKnowledge of CI/CD toolsDemonstrated experience with Java, Spring Framework, SQL and NoSQL-based databases, writing complex SQL queries and building highly scalable and highly performant distributed applications and  web servicesDemonstrated strong analytical skills

Preferred Skills:

Develop prototypes of new technologies, exposure to GraphQL / Graph DBsExperience in the commerce space and products / pricing / inventory domains

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Minimum 3 years relevant experienceBachelor’s Degree in computer science or similar field or related equivalent experienceDomain knowledge in multiple technical and business areas
